The dry winter months (April to September) are best due to the diminished vegetation density that allows for better visibility.

Cotton clothing in neutral colours is recommended. It is advisable to avoid light and/or dark colors as they tend to attract biting insects. We recommend you pack a warm jacket for early morning operations, helicopter flights, and game drives. Pack a pair of comfortable walking shoes (hiking boots are preferable). A few good pairs of cotton socks are also advisable. Swimming costume/bathing suits, sun block, sun hat, sunglasses. Mosquito repellent is supplied, but if you have a prefered brand then please feel free to bring your own. Dressing gowns and towels are provided. Please note that formal wear is not required at any of our lodges.

On your travels you may enter malarial zones, so please consult with your doctor regarding the commencement of an anti-malarial program prior to your arrival.

In the unlikely event of a medical emergency, we have a full team of medical staff with life-support aircraft at our disposal, to immediately transfer any patients to a private hospital in Johannesburg. We may also include an advanced life-support paramedic to accompany our guests for the entire duration of your vacation (upon request).
